High-Rise Window Cleaning in New York City

The Three Approaches

Storefront and low-rise (1–4 floors)

Water-fed pole systems from the sidewalk — no ladders, no sidewalk sheds, purified water that dries spot-free. Ideal for retail rows and low offices across the five boroughs.

Mid-rise (5–12 floors)

Usually boom or scissor-lift work scheduled off-peak, or rope descent where the roof rigging permits. Permits and pedestrian protection are part of the job cost in Manhattan.

High-rise

BMU (building maintenance unit) or suspended scaffold runs on a facade-access plan the building already has. Your vendor should read the building's plan and match it — not improvise rigging on day one.

How Often Is Enough?

• Retail storefronts: weekly to bi-weekly — fingerprints alone justify it.
• Office exteriors: 2–4 times per year for most NYC addresses.
• Post-construction / Local Law 11 facade work: a dedicated construction-glass clean before turnover.
